What is MatchTrader and how do I use it?

MatchTrader is the web-based and mobile trading platform you use for your Pivex Trading Challenge. It shows real-time market conditions and lets you trade forex pairs, commodities, stocks, cryptocurrencies and indices with virtual capital, so you can hone your skills without risking real money. You open it from your Pivex Dashboard or at platform.pivex.com in a desktop or mobile browser.

How do I access MatchTrader?

Once you register for a Pivex Trading Challenge account, you automatically receive your MatchTrader login credentials by email. Then:

1. Log in to your Pivex Dashboard at app.pivex.com to track your performance and objectives.
2. Launch MatchTrader: click the yellow "Trade Now" button or open the "Trading Platform" tab in the left-side menu. You can also go directly to platform.pivex.com using the login credentials we sent to your email.
3. Configure your trading environment: before placing a trade, customize your chart preferences, add your preferred technical indicators and adjust any risk management tools to fit your strategy.
4. Place your first trade once you are comfortable with your setup.
5. Monitor your performance: the Pivex Dashboard shows high-level metrics such as profit target, daily drawdown and overall account status; the MatchTrader platform shows your real-time trading activity, including open positions, balance, equity and detailed profit/loss analysis.

Desktop (web-based platform)

Trade directly from your browser without downloading or installing any software. Log in to your MatchTrader account through Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Safari.

Quick Tip: Use CTRL + M to open the Market Hours feature, which shows the active trading times for different financial instruments.

Mobile web browser

On your phone, open Safari or Chrome and go to platform.pivex.com. After logging in with your email and password, you can bookmark the page by tapping your browser's menu icon (usually three dots) and selecting "Add to Bookmarks". For app-like convenience, use the "Add to Home Screen" option in your browser's menu to create a MatchTrader icon that launches the platform with a single tap.
